Keeping Your Qualifications Current 2020

January 14, 2020

If you are a Level 3 or Level 2 referee your qualifications are valid for 4 years from the time you received that accreditation - for example if you did your Level 2 (Theory) in 2016 you would need to re-validate this qualification prior to the end of the 2020 season.

If you are not sure when your qualifications expire please contact branchcoach@ssfra.org.au or click here.

As part of your ongoing education and training you are required to re-validate the qualifications prior to them expiring.

HOW DOES THE RE-VALIDATION PROCESS WORK?

To re-validate your existing qualification for another four (4) years you need to attend one of the re-validation courses which are different depending on your qualifications.

LEVEL 3 REFEREE

  • 20 multiple choice questions on Laws of the Game (approx 15 minutes)

  • 20 video incident questions where you need to decide the type of free kick and the sanction (approx 15 minutes)

  • You need to get a minimum of 70% in each exam to re-validate your Level 3 qualifications

LEVEL 2 REFEREE

  • 20 multiple choice questions on Laws of the Game (approx 15 minutes)

  • 20 video incident questions where you need to decide the type of free kick and the sanction (approx 15 minutes)

  • You need to get a minimum of 80% in each exam to re-validate your Level 3 qualification

If your qualifications lapse then you will need to do the whole course again.

WHEN & WHERE CAN I DO MY RE-VALIDATION

There are currently two preseason opportunities to re-validate your qualifications for both Level 2 and Level 3 referees. All courses will be held at the Harrie Dening Football Centre, Bates Drive Kareela.
