We are the senior refereeing branch in the Sutherland Shire and we cover all full field matches for the Sutherland Shire Football Association. We are currently taking registrations for persons 14 years and older (or who will be 14 years or older soon after the relevant course).

2025 Courses

STEP 1 - Complete the online Laws of the Game course on etrainu. LINK - learn.footballaustralia.com.au. If not registered and accepted by a referee branch like SSFRA, you will need a Learner NSW account - set one up for free via playfootball.com.au

STEP 2 - Register with the Branch "Sutherland Shire Football Referees Association" on PlayFootball. LINK - www.playfootball.com.au/register
STEP 3 - Register on etrainu for the Junior Match Official course OR the Senior Match Official Course (the latter if you are 18+ and have prior Football experience). LINK - learn.footballaustralia.com.au
As part of this registration for Step 3 you will need to attend an upcoming course in-person.
Our next course is:​​​
​​​​There is a $120 cost involved in registration to cover your basic uniform and equipment (other than shoes and a watch). This is paid on registration.
Football Australia charges an additional $33 fee for the JMO or SMO course - this is paid direct to them on registration via their website. There is also an additional charge for your WWC "E" registration which is required to referee in New South Wales
